can you drink the water?

This may be a weird question but I need to ask it anyways. Can you drink the tap water in Vegas? I know some places you are not suppose to drink it.

can you drink the water?

Not with out Scotch in it.......

No, actually I have never heard of anyplace in the US it was unsafe to drink tap water.... some places it tastes better than others, but as far as I know it is safe in every city in the US with the exception of occurances like floods and hurricanes.

can you drink the water?

Yes, you can drink it. It might taste different than your water at home but it is safe.

I%26#39;m pretty sure that you can drink water anywhere in the US including Alaska and Hawaii.

You might be thinking of Mexico and some of the islands...

That would be where the %26#39;Porn slappers%26#39; come from, not in Las Vegas. Its OK. I actually took a sip without Bourbon while I was brushing my teeth with no ill effects.

drinking the tap water in a vegas hotel room won%26#39;t kill you, but it will taste like it should. the tap water in restaurants is mostly fine, but what comes out of the bathroom sink in the hotel rooms should go in your mouth only when brushing your teeth or when dying of a hang over and there is no other water around.

I%26#39;ve use the tap water to refill my water bottle and it%26#39;s not that bad. You should try Florida water for some bad tasting warm liquid.

The Federal Safe Water Drinking Act requires water agencies to meet health-based water-quality standards. The Las Vegas Valley Water District tests for approximately 120 regulated and unregulated contaminants; most are not found in the water. Only those substances found on the Environmental Protection Agency%26#39;s primary (regulated) contaminant list that are detected in the district%26#39;s drinking water are listed on the main table of the District%26#39;s report. A complete analysis report is available at lvvwd.com. Please review the report to determine if the drinking water meets your standards. You may want to review your own District%26#39;s report for comparison.

Many don%26#39;t like the taste of it. I don%26#39;t mind it in restaurants if I can get it with a lemon in it, otherwise I prefer bottles. Being up here in the Rockies we%26#39;re used to great tasting water. The stuff you drink in Vegas has been ';recycled'; a few times through the treatment process before it reaches the city. ;o)

Hi

Been just about every years since 2000 from the UK and never even givrn it a second thought, just drank it, now if you were in the southern med or Turkey etc you may think twice!!!

Clive

I do not know. I lived there for 15 years and am still alive? I suspect there are more like me.

Tastes horrible , but safe.

intake is on Lake Mead, downstream from the sewage outlet.

and don%26#39;t worry about the radionuclides from the mines upstream....
