Is Casa Di Amore' really worth the trip?

We are going to Vegas in Oct. Wanted to make reservations based on reading this forum but lately there seems to be a ';it ain%26#39;t worth it'; feeling from everyone. Anyone been lately. How long is the whole dinner. Do they pick you up at you hotel at 8 and drop you off at 12 waiting for others? Wouldn%26#39;t want to spend 6 hours of our evening there.

We have reservations for Sat. night...hoping it lives up to all the reviews!

Is Casa Di Amore' really worth the trip?

I don%26#39;t think so. The food is mediocre.

We had a fabulous evening there last week. I%26#39;d made reservations a few weeks ahead of time, then told the family (DH, 16 year old DD and 19 year old DS)--they were apprehensive and said it sounded cheesy. Decided to give it a whirl anyhow--good thing we did! The night ended up being one of the trip highlights.

The red limo picked us up at Palazzo at 8:30--right on time. Our driver and wait staff were happy to take pictures when we asked--in fact, a couple of times they grabbed the camera and started taking random shots of people. They were so much fun!

Loved the interior--totally %26#39;old Vegas%26#39; and definitely somewhere where Tony Soprano would feel at home. We were there on a Monday night so got a fab bottle of Chianti for 1/2 price. The food was pretty amazing...just delicious. Also loved the lounge singer--he just completed the ambiance.

Our family had such a good time and our limo driver made sure to check with us to see when we%26#39;d be ready to head back to the hotel. I%26#39;m thinking we were there maybe two hours total--just right for a nice, unhurried meal.

We%26#39;ll be back in Vegas in October with friends--after hearing about our fun night, they want to go to Casa di Amore. Definitely recommend if you want a memorable experience with great food. If you%26#39;re looking for an upscale strip atmosphere, though, this is not the place for you.

I totally agree with Tess. The highlight of our last trip in June.

You are not going to get ';yuppie'; Italian food. This is comfort food at its best. I%26#39;m Italian %26amp; this is the way my grandmaa cooked.

It is very, very casual. Brad was our waiter %26amp; has received great accolades on this forum. We requested him at time of reservation %26amp; we couldn%26#39;t have been happier. He%26#39;s great at explaining all the dishes.

Try to get a gift certificate on restaurant.com. We had bottle of wine (1/2 price Sun. %26amp; Mon.) appetizer, 2 entrees, coffee %26amp; shared a dessert. $53 + tip with GC from restaurant.com.

Husband and I went last year and loved it.We used a coupon from restaurants .com and that worked great.THey picked us up on time and took us back when we were done no waiting. It was a reasonably priced restaurant with good food with a neat atmosphere. We will return next time we go

Yes it is Great.Just was there last month.

Food,Driver,Service was GREAT!!!

Don%26#39;t miss it.Have Fun!!!

As most Italians know there are different types of Italian cooking, I suppose we are fussier then non Italians who think spaghetti and meatballs are a great italian dish.

I suppose the Limo ride, the using of coupons and the casualness of the place makes it more popular then it should be. The food is fair to good at best.

Personally I would say no, complimentary limo is nice, starter was good, main was ok to poor. I realise many really rate this place and maybe i just picked a bad main. Ambience was good though.

We are planning on going in October also, as I emailed them and found out they will pick up in the limo downtown! We are meeting Canadian relatives who have never been to Vegas and I thought this would be a great treat for them.

Hello

I just wondered - is it more of a romantic place or somewhere you could go with a large group? Definitely want to book for when we go in December!

Thanks

Helen
