I have read that seafood is flown in fresh daily. My question is about the crab legs, are they cooked and set out whole or are they cracked or sliced open as at some restaurants? Thanks
wynn buffet questionCrabs legs are sliced in half. Some people have stated on this forum that you can can ask the chef to grill them or warm them up for you but I have no first hand experience with that.
wynn buffet questionthey are cracked but they are cold, but served with hot butter. man i love that buffet!
I tried them on my last trip- very cold, didn%26#39;t like that at all. There are much better items to choose from, the noodle station is amazing, the sushi is good, jerk chicken, the meatballs, even the pizza...the crab legs aren%26#39;t the strong point there.
JackandSally, I completely agree with you. There is this huge facination with crab legs and some folks even appear to be salivating and foaming at the mouth as they await their turn to pile them on to the plate. You have to urry up and get out of their way. I find them somewhat bland and really not worth the trouble. I do like the susi there, though.
i don%26#39;t eat sushi, but my buddies who do really enjoyed the sushi at Wynn, i was actually worried about getting bitten by those crab legs, that is half the fun though, it is like being in the movie JAWS except the shark is a 4 foot 1 inch asian woman.
As previously stated, the crab legs are split in half and are cold. Not that good, IMO, and not worth standing and waiting your turn to get some.
How does this rate compared to paris or RIO seafood buffet? Price and lunch or dinner better?
Wynn and Bellagio are the only buffets that I know of that have crab legs that are sliced open and that are that big. Most of other buffets have smaller crab legs and they%26#39;re also not sliced up like that. I haven%26#39;t been to the Rio seafood buffet in years so I%26#39;m not sure about that one.
Corvette - compared to Paris, the crab legs at Wynn are much better! I don%26#39;t think the ones at Paris are all that good.
Coming from a seaport city in Australia where we get really fresh seafood, i found the seafood even at the high end buffets in Vegas disappointing. Just not fresh enough for my spoilt tastes
Still rest of the buffet was awesome
ok, well that helps me a great deal. we love crab legs but do not care for them cold or split open. will look elsewhere for our crab leg fix. Thanks!
