Weather in December?

Hi there - we are planning our first trip to Las Vegas this december (the last week of December) and are worried that it might be too cold to enjoy. Is the weather comfortable enough to be outside and walk around?

Any and all advice most appreciated!!

Weather in December?

You might need a light jacket but it will comfortable to walk arounf no problem.

Weather in December?

I was there at that time for about 7 years. The temps can vary a great deal. What it is like one year has nothing to do with what it is like any other year. They have even had snow some years at the end of December.

Average high temp-mid 60s but it can range from the high 30s to the 70s. When it gets windy/cloudy it can be cold- even during the day. Average low- mid 30s with a range from the teens to the 40s.

You will definitely enjoy Vegas- no matter what the weather. Just be sure to bring clothes that can be layered- tops with long sleeves, a mediumweight sweater and a lined jacket. This way you will be prepared for any kind of weather. You will be able to walk around.

Been to Vegas the first and third weeks of December and it was cold both times. It may not bother you as much being from Toronto but for a Floridian, it was darn cold to me. Forties and low fifties during the day and 20%26#39;s and 30%26#39;s at night.

December is the only time we ever go. You will know it%26#39;s winter, but how much time do you plan on spending outside anyway? It will be fine. When I do go outside during the day a long sleeve shirt is fine and add a coat at night, no problem.

It won%26#39;t be freezing but it can get cold especially at night. During the day a long sleeve shirt or light sweater and at night a light-medium jacket too.

We went in Dec in 2006 and 2007. In 2006, I got away with a sweater and light jacket during the day and a little heavier jacket at night but last year, I had to wear heavy jacket during the day and a couple days, we even had gloves and a scarf. It was 30%26#39;s during the day with lots of wind and we froze walking up and down the strip. We had one day out of 3 that we could walk around with a light jacket during the day. I would definitely go prepared for anything. As someone else said, take layers of clothing because you just never know what it is going to be like. Contrary to what some will tell you, it does get cold in Vegas.
