Recent Stay at Wynn

My wife went this time as she is a teacher and goes with me in the summer. Drive was the usual, about 4 1/2 hours from Malibu arrived around 2:00. Tower Suite line was empty and I noticed not one familiar face. Never happened before. As I always arrive on Sundays, thought it a bit strange. Had oviously new check in person. Very eager to please but new. Parlor Suite was waitng but on 9th floor. I like highest on Strip side for better view. High 20%26#39;s on golf course side. One call later and we had 2706 which is GC side, my wife%26#39;s preference. Dropped off clothes and went and ate at Terrace Cafe. In all fairness, when full there the service is slow unless you are at the bar. We ate, went up to the room and my wife had work to do on her computer so I went to the BJ table. Limits on the S17 pit were $50 and up. Earlier they are $25. Proceeded to lose many, many bets. And win very few. I had won money my last 3 trips and 4 of the last 5 so I was not perturbed. That would come soon enough. Went upstairs, changed, went and jumped in pool for a swim. Came back up and showered rested and went down for dinner at The Country Club

I hope you had a great trip. Wynn has good BJ in the high limit area - you%26#39;re a player, hope you had some staying power. Dinner at Alex, pool time, not as many tourists in the public areas, small classy casino, great dresses on the cocktail wiatresses, knowledgable dealers, good drinks overlooking the lake, breakfast at Tableua, a fab golf course, small spa that caters to the clientle, wonderful room service. Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we do.

Dinner was very simple. Appetizers and salads. Good though. With glasses of wine and tip $150 or so. Went back to blackjack and got worked. Again. To give perspective, in the BEST shoe I had, the dealer had FIVE Blackjacks. All my first days stash gone. In recent visits I never had to open my day 2 or 3 envelopes. Oh well. Next day went to breakfast and out to Cascata for golf. Best greens in Vegas. Played well. 104*, but not humid like where I play at home in 100*+. Came back, swam, jacuzzi tub, rested and went to Bartolotta for dinner. Had a great raviolli and my wife had a variety of appetizers. Jonathan the sommelier is the best. Had a great Barolo and all around excellent meal. $450 with tip and wine. Later on back to blackjack. S17 all are $100. Asked to play $50. No problem. That way I can play 2 hands more easily when things get rolling. Never played 2 hands. Only thing rolling was Steve Wynn over my back. I also noticed no familiar pit or floorpeople. And only one dealer I knew. All were fine. CW service was great. Double Don Julio%26#39;s on demand promptly. I usually tip $10. Only red checks by the end of the night. Blame Steve. Quit with 25% of my day 2 money. If this session had been a football game I%26#39;d be behind 48-3 with about 49 yards total offense.

Bridgey, We do enjoy it. My wife doesn%26#39;t gamble so I go much more often than she. I haven%26#39;t eaten at Tableau for awhile. I must do it next time. My wife had never eaten at the CC before. I will sometimes eat 3 dinners at Okada. BTW, I didn%26#39;t play Wynn this time because the fairways looked terrible before overseed. Cascata was much better. Pool at Wynn is so relaxed.

Ouch, this sounds painful. After your comment on another thread, doubt it.

I wonder if their was some training seminar over at the Encore, for all the best employees?

Now you know how us 49er fans have felt the last few years, lol.

Meant to say I hope the luck gets better, but after your comment on the other thread, I%26#39;m doubting it.

Day 3. Got up, drove to LAS and picked my son up who flew in from LA. Right on time via SW. I already had his clubs so we were off to Lake Las Vegas to play The Falls as it is in better shape in August than Reflection Bay. Probably because it never gets any play. Had a great round, had my son down 4 bets and he rallied to tie. But he paid for the round. So cool. Not hot at all with the breeze. Came back to Wynn, swam, showered and picked up email, had a (few more) drinks and went down to Okada. Last time he flew in met just me, we played Wynn and had a $425 meal between the 2 of us. He loves sushi. We ran into our next door neighbors going into Okada as they were there for their son%26#39;s 21st. He was at HRH. Of course. Strange to bump into 2 people you know like that. We had a fantastic meal. My usual miso, salmon sashimi, toro oh sashimi, mackeral sushi, uni sushi plus all bites of my sons rolls. My wife loves the Okada roll. Wonderful food and service for around $400 for 3. Or 5 counting my son. My wife took him to the airport and I went to work. Got ahead enough to cash some purples and go over to the craps table. I am a far cry from Buggy. I love playing but never win. I had pass bet, full odds, 3 come bets full odds and the usual crash and burn. I am a craps novice but understand the basics which is them raking in many more of my cheques than tossing me. Back to BJ. Got some money back, but not enogh to offset 1st 2 days. Time to go up. Next days trip home uneventful. Which is good. Overall Wynn was very consistent with my dozen or so previous visits. Lot of new faces though. ';Till next time.

Low, as you may recall I am a lifelong 49er fan (Giants too), born and raised in LA. So, yes I related well. It happens, like golf. You%26#39;re gonna get hammered once in awhile. That%26#39;s what makes the wins or low rounds enjoyable. I had a great time.

Loomis, well they did have some fresh squeezed lime in %26#39;em! Not like they were totally neat or anything. I think??
