Best time of Year for Vegas?

My husband and I are goin to Vegas in 09 and wondering when the best time to go is? I heard some pools/activities close during off times? We don%26#39;t want to go during an off time, but we also don%26#39;t want to ho at peak either. We are thinkin about October?

Best time of Year for Vegas?

Depends what you%26#39;re going for? Is a pool a big factor? Is price a consideration?

October is a great month, good pool weather for at least the first parts of the month at least. But also convention season and possible higher rates.

I%26#39;m not sure which ';activities'; you%26#39;re interested in that might be closed, if you provide more specifics you%26#39;ll get better info. Some big production shows close in early to mid December or thereabouts for a week or so.

It is best to go sometime between Jan 1 and December 31st. Vegas is always fun! But seriously, October is a great time to go because the temps are mild. Typically in the 80%26#39;s early in the month, high 70%26#39;s later. You may want to go in September if the pools are a really big factor. October weekends will be busy because of NCAA football and NFL football. Also, October 09 is a long way away, it may be tough to wait it out. April is another great month with mild temps.

October and April are my favorite months in Vegas as I find the weather to be perfect. Many agree with me and those months tend to be expensive due to high demand. They%26#39;re also busy convention months.

Some pools are closed over the winter but that%26#39;s due to it being too cold for most people to swim rather than any other reason.

We rec%26#39;d a week at Polo from my grandparents for our wedding that can be used in 09. It will be our first time there and want to do a little bit of everything. Chances are we will do less pool time and more sightseeing, gambling, drinking, etc. If it is convention time will resturants/clubs also raise prices? Is there a website to view conventions and when they are?

Don%26#39;t misunderstand my reply - EVERY month is convention season in Las Vegas, I just commented that October is one of the busiest ones.

And no, the restaurants don%26#39;t print new menus when there%26#39;s a convention in town. :)

You can search the forum for the link to the convention schedule, it%26#39;s a frequently asked question but I don%26#39;t have the link handy. Or just google...

There is no good or bad time to visit Vegas - obviously it%26#39;s HOT in the summer months but not unbearable and Vegas%26#39; winters are a definite treat when compared to a Wisconsin Winter!! I actually like going in November - usually not as crowded, nice walking weather (but no pools).

If you don%26#39;t want to go during an extremely busy time, avoid Final Four weekend, long holiday weekends, etc. Happy Planning!

The month of Sept.,anytime after Labor Day.

It%26#39;s always best to check ahead. Call whatever Hotel your going to stay at and ask if the pool is open on the day%26#39;s you plan to come.
