New Year's Events

Hi all.

I hope this hasn%26#39;t been asked before. I%26#39;ve searched for it, but can%26#39;t find anything at all.

Does anyone know when the events for NYE this year will be published, and is there a generic area for it, or down to each individual hotel website? Booked for a few nights this year for my second LV visit, and can%26#39;t wait, but need to make my mind up on what to do on 31st.

Will there be cabs running that night, if it%26#39;s not too stupid a question???

New Year's Events

It%26#39;s still a little early for events to be confirmed. Checking the individual hotels%26#39; websites on a regular basis isn%26#39;t a bad idea. In the past the Las Vegas Advisor site has included a list of New Year%26#39;s events but as far as I can see, it%26#39;s not up and running yet for this year.

Sites like vegas.com and ticketmaster.com which allow you to do a general search of all events by date range may also be helpful.

Cabs do run but be aware that the Strip is closed to traffic and cabs can only use access points to the rear of properties and traffic is likely to be crazy on the immediate off-Strip streets where traffic is permitted.

You can also keep checking this site from the local newspaper. Right now it lists last year%26#39;s events but those may give you some idea of what was available.

Getting around before and a little while after midnight can be challenging (unless you use the monorail). It will take a while for the roads around the strip to clear.

Staying at the Orleans, so we hope to spend NYE on the strip somewhere, and wanted to make sure we could get back to our hotel. Least I know we can!!! Prob be in town until gone 1am anyway, I%26#39;d have hoped
