More luck downtown or strip

I am going to make a quick trip to Vegas to see Cher. Can’t make my mind up as to, if I want to stay downtown or on the strip. Do most of you feel you have better gambling luck on the strip or downtown? I feel mine is downtown, but I am still not convinced to stay the 4 nights downtown, or besides that on the strip lol.

More luck downtown or strip

I have most definitely had better luck downtown! If you%26#39;re hesitating, though, why not consider someplace like Green Valley Ranch or Sunset Station? No, they%26#39;re not the most opulent, but my understanding is that they%26#39;re both very clean and comfortable.

More luck downtown or strip

We%26#39;ve been to Vegas probably 8 or 10 times in the past few years and we almost exclusively stay at Flamingo%26#39;s, Bally%26#39;s or Paris, where our 3-4 night stay is comped by HET (we are low rollers by the way).

Without exception, we have had our best luck downtown. Our last trip I won over $1500 at 4 Queens playing one video keno machine, 50 cents at a time (6 out of 6 on a 50 cent wager wins $800). The other place where I%26#39;ve had good success is the Golden Nugget. My husband plays craps and BJ and agrees that downtown has usually been the better bet for his gambling, too.

gigdeb: that is actually the 2 hotels that I am stuck between. Flamingo or Golden nugget. I have stayed at both, and golden nugget is cheaper the time around.hmmmmm...not sure...

well actually I just found bally%26#39;s at the same price as golden nugget, so now I really dont know.

Neither...for us. We%26#39;ve done far better at Las Vegas Hilton and Sam%26#39;s Town. One advantage for LVH might be the convenient monorail line to fairly close to Caesars. It%26#39;s hard to call LVH a ';locals'; casino but being off-strip they do have to try harder to attract people...like the locals places. LVH has also been pretty good (even two years since last visit) about sending offers based on our fairly limited play.
