Area around Freemont Street
I%26#39;ll tell you if you tell me why so many people can%26#39;t spell Fremont.
Area around Freemont Street
Hi
We stayed at the GN and went to the Gold diggers bar, loud music and a balcony onto the fremont st experience.
If you go down Main st you will come to the MSS with rail cars to look at and antiques in the casino.
If you go the other way from Fremont you will go past the old neon sign%26#39;s and come to the El Cortez.
I have not been to it but there is also a bar in the Plaza that looks down Fremont. Not been anywhere else so someone else on this forum will have to let you know about Atomic bar etc which I know is in the area.

Great downtown link - thanks.
Brought to mind another one...a very funny story about two guys staying at the Western and experiences downtown.

Personally we are fans of the microbrews at Main Street Station...you can even get them while playing. Guys drinking enough beer can relieve themselves in urinals mounted on a chunk of the Berlin Wall.
Roberta%26#39;s is a surprisngly good restaurant value at El Cortez.
Sorry Rowdy Fremont!!!
vp03 - thanks for the link - we stayed at 4Q in March (our first time actually staying downtown) and will be staying at Fremont next March and I wish I had known about a couple of these places then. Did go to Jillian%26#39;s which we enjoyed, especially being able to sit outdoors and eat /drink and enjoy some great people watching.
BTW - Is Fremont a good choice in your opinion for a downtown hotel - they are comping us 4 nights.
