Just trying to decide between these three. The prices are all very close. so, I would like to find out people%26#39;s preferences.
Bally's, MGM Grand, or Bill's Gambling Hall and SaloonBally%26#39;s is a great hotel and depending on when you go, they have a great pool for singles. Great location.
Bally's, MGM Grand, or Bill's Gambling Hall and SaloonI would choose MGM. It is a much nicer property than Bally%26#39;s and Bill%26#39;s.
Bally%26#39;s and Bill%26#39;s are more centrally located, but if this is your first visit the overall experience at MGM would get my vote.
another vote for the mgm. it is overall a better property and a notch above the other two hotels. better food, amenities, and overall vibe. bally%26#39;s would be second, followed by bills. however, bally%26#39;s %26amp; bill%26#39;s do have the better location, but mgm still has plenty around it, the monorail station attached, and hey, that%26#39;s what cabs are for.
Don%26#39;t stay at Bill%26#39;s. About 20 Bill%26#39;s would fit inside MGM. Maybe 40.
If you are someone that is going to stick close to your hotel then stay at MGM.
If you%26#39;re going to go out and try to hit every casino and see as much of Vegas as you can, then stay at Bally%26#39;s.
DH and I like Bally%26#39;s for location. It has nice rooms in the north tower and is connected to Paris with shops and eateries, etc. Our son liked MGM for the pool and restaurants.
Having stayed at Ballys and MGM, I would say MGM Grand. It is by the far the best property of the 3. The rooms are nicer with the most comfortable beds and huge bathrooms. There are several big resorts on that end of the strip and it%26#39;s only a few minutes walk to the other properties. We stayed there last week and didn%26#39;t have a problem with the location. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to Planet Hollywood. And you%26#39;re not bothered by time share stalkers as you are at other properties.
I wouldn%26#39;t even consider Bills in the equation as it is not a full resort property and not nearly as nice as the others.
As someone else said, if this is your first trip to Vegas, I would definitely stay at MGM Grand. I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll be disappointed.
Have a great trip!
I%26#39;ve stayed at Bill%26#39;s and MGM. MGM is a much nicer property all the way around but is too large and eating and drinking there was too expensive for my taste. If you like more of a locals type place with nice rooms and easy to navigate in a short time then Bill%26#39;s. Haven%26#39;t stayed at Bally%26#39;s so can%26#39;t comment.
MGM has so much more to offer than the others. The best pool around, tons of restaurants, nice rooms, great location, very large property which means more to do and see. There is a cheap food court too. If this is your first visit pick MGM.
Bally%26#39;s is one my favorite places to stay, but not as impressive as MGM. If you stay at Bally%26#39;s make sure you book a North Tower room because they are renovated. Bally%26#39;s is connected to Paris by an indoor walkway which is great. It is located mid-strip which many people prefer. Both Bally%26#39;s and MGM have monorail stops so easy access to other parts of the strip.
Bills is small and no fancy at all. Not much to do unless you leave the hotel. I would stay here only if I knew exactly what to expect. I think you might be disappointed. The only great thing about Bills to me is its mid-strip location.
This wil be my second trip to Vegas. The first time, we stayed at the MGM Grand. Beautiful hotel in a shopping centre like setting with a nice pool area. The rooms were really big, our King bed was very comfortable but our view out the window was not that great. We hardly spent any time in our room other than for sleeping and showering. This time around we are going to Bill%26#39;s as it is much more conveniently positioned on the Strip. Many who have stayed at Bill%26#39;s speak highly of the location, comfortable beds/room, and warm hospitality. In my humble opinion...keep coming back to vegas (as i plan to after having been only once)and try a different hotel every time!
Wow thanks for all the responses. I really appreciate your feedback. I have been to Vegas once before back in 1999 (when we got married in Phoenix). We stayed at the LV Hilton a block off the strip and I remember thinking that next time we wouldn%26#39;t make the same mistake and we would be in the middle of the action. I am leaning towards MGM myself, but my husband isn%26#39;t a real fan of line ups and crowds. So maybe I will just leave him at home...
