Buying food

I will be staying in a timeshare unit so will have refrigerator and may do some cooking. Where can I buy groceries?

Once you get away from the strip, you%26#39;ll find grocery stores everywere. Although we never cook while in our timeshare afterall it is Vegas , we do stockup with snacks, water/soda .

Which resort are you staying at? Most of them are off-strip %26amp; near convenience stores if not grocery stores.

Westgate Flamingo Bay

I wouldn%26#39;t worry too much about this. Staying where you are I%26#39;m presuming you%26#39;ll have a car. As others have said there%26#39;s plenty of supermarkets and convenience stores within easy driving distance.

Since you are from Hamilton, you might not be familiar with the local chains of grocery stores.

Based strictly on my own observations, Vons and Albertons seem to be the two most common grociery stores in Vegas. Smith%26#39;s and Ralphs are also big chains. There are others, but these seem to me to be the most common.

Food For Less is a discount grocery chain -- you bag your own groceries at the checkstand, and they are not as ';fancy'; as the other stores, but their prices are more reasonable.

The Wal-Mart SuperCenters also have grocery stores inside of them.

There are convenience stores every two blocks or so.

when you check in ask the staff - they%26#39;ll know the closest place.

or if renting a car and you want to stop on the eay to your unit ask at the rental agency.

there are so many grocery stores you%26#39;ll have many options

Westgate Flamingo Bay is very close to the Food For Less that is located at the northwest corner of Flamingo and Decatur. That is probably the closest grocery store to you. There will be an Albertson%26#39;s very near, as well.

Just found out that the resort has free shuttle to a grocery store twice a week, so I think I may be okay. Thanks all.
