Downtown, Golden nugget , OJ trial, MT Chston trip report,

Hello Everyone,

Fresh from vegas, still alive %26amp; well, and already planning our next trip.

Downtown was great, it was our first time staying downtown,

*** We love downtown ***

downtown rocks, and yes we ventured past the canopy (fse),i saw 2 little old lady%26#39;s ( 85-95 yrs old alone @ 1 in the morning walking back to there hotel about a block behind binions, not affraid of the dark side of vegas..lol

Downtown is safe. El Cortez %26amp; and East freemont are very cool.. nice mex - cuban reaturant down there, east of the canopy, plenty of security.

Downtown is Very Safe, %26amp; Very Cool Old School Vegas indeed, dont worry just go,

vegas tai %26amp; chinesse 4th is not bad if you want some chiness dt,nothing fancy,good food, a little hole in the wall joint, ( do the lunch special )

( our first meal in downtown, while waiting for our rooom, they let us check in early, we got in the room around 11:30am, we landed @ 9 am, had to get the car etc, it all went very smooth,if you plan you can do it.

Lilly%26#39;s noodle house inside GN is ok at best...over priced..over rated imo..we had lilly%26#39;s in the room,while checking out the wonderful view.

Golden Nugget was very good, we stayed in the south tower rm 22105, strip %26amp; Mtn view..very nice ****

it%26#39;s not the Wynn, with all the fluff.. but you cant beat it.everyone was great.

best 49$ bucks i%26#39;ve spent in a while even had 2 / 1 buffet coupons, and match play , would deff reccomend GOLDEN NUGGET !!!!!

great service, buffet @ GN was as good as, imo wynn, spice etc. except a lot better deal.not as big,but very good service, not real fancy.

o j trial going on right outside the south tower , yipeeee,didnt even waste my time to walk over in the morning%26#39;s,he was coming into the justice center to get a pic...he%26#39;s going to prison this time.. not a real big deal, for anyone downtown, good riddance juice.

Everything you could want or need they have, downtown without all the driving,walking,etc.

Golden nugget is a great value,the pool (tank) is very nice,big sharks ... nice pool

The time share troll%26#39;s @ GN by the south tower are the worst in vegas.. just ignore them..

Dfending the caveman show was good, ( for couple%26#39;s)imo.. get the 2/1 tic%26#39;s

we drove up to Mt charleston, wow it is beautiful up there, wonderful easy drive from vegas, the lodge is very hospitable %26amp; cozy, the pizza%26#39;s not bad either,

The DW bought some nice $$$ jewelry up there from a Navaho Indian Woman, for herself and our Daughter...

very nice.

also went to Dolphin habitat @ Mirage, they had just had a new baby dolphin a few day%26#39;s before we arrived , the baby%26#39;s name is Sgt peper.. ****

Secret Garden%26#39;s nice also, the white Lion%26#39;s %26amp; Tigers are cool..

great trip from the begining to end ,so far..

Except for our last night in Vegas...

I was feeling to good and was

asked very politely, by security @ Mirage to please leave there fine esablishment,

because Jack Danials, had turned me into quite an azzhole,( the complete azzhole ) big loud mouth and all...

i won money @ the craps table, they were very understanding,

the drink service is just about the best in all of vegas!!! Mirage is nice...

i just about ruined the whole trip, in a matter of hour%26#39;s and way to much whisky,i should have stuck with the beer.

but everything worked out fine...i had a double double @ in %26amp; out burger,after a God aweful hang over..next day on way to airport..

alcohol poisioning is real ... be very careful,

drink responsably ..

my wife still hate%26#39;s me ..lol

we had a blast in vegas..

already planning our next visit, for my daughter%26#39;s 21st..

I just knew you would love downtown. What is this Vegas Thai Chinese place you%26#39;re talking about. I love Thai and authentic Chinese food.

Yes, JD can make a lot of people act foolish which is why I stick to the Millers!

Tripper! I was just thinking about you today and wondering where your trip report was!

Glad you had such a great time, but sorry I missed your show at the Mirage - maybe you can do a repeat some time when I%26#39;m out there, LOL!

Sounds like you had a good time. Downtown is lots of fun if you have the right attitude. :)

Glad you enjoyed your trip, TR. We may have passed each other downtown, as I was there 9/9 - 9/11, and got around to most all the downtown casinos. Didn%26#39;t make MSS or Vegas Club though... or El Co. It was all I could do to make it to the Plaza for Bingo, and I only managed that by gambling at each casino along the way. LOL

See... you should have stayed Downtown. You wouldn%26#39;t have gotten in all that trouble, and got the wife mad at you if you had just stayed DT. :-)

Glad you had a good time, I%26#39;m making my first stay downtown soon, we always go DT to gamble but have never stayed. We love DT!!

If you love visiting downtown, I%26#39;m pretty sure you%26#39;re going to love staying downtown even more!

to get to the tai rest, exit GN go towards walgreens..East.. just a few blocks, there%26#39;s a harley davidson store on the left,

thats 4th go left on 4th just at the end of the canopy,

it%26#39;s about a half a block down on left, it%26#39;s nothing fancy,not real big, clean rest room , a rating posted pretty good food,

2 people @ the bell desk @ GN both recomended we tried it and liked it.

it%26#39;s called vegas taiwan chineese..

enjoy..5.95 lunch special..

downtown is wonderful, plenty of places to explore..

We are staying at GN! Cant wait til I dig into a Hugo%26#39;s steak, and play craps at Binions!!!

Tripper, I am so proud that you gave DT a try. It is not the Strip nor should it be. THey are both great in their own ways.

Glad to see that you appreciate both.

Now get your butt back there in Dec for some Christmas cheer with the rest of us :-)
