Spa
An hour massage at MGM starts at $130 for a swedish. Use of the spa is included with any paid service and includes use of the fitness center as well as:
steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools and relaxation lounge
Use of showers, lockers, snuggly towels, robes, sandals and personal care amenities
Safe deposit boxes, shorts, T-shirts and fruit juices available
If you want to use the spa without a massage it is $25 per day.
If you google ';mgm spa'; you will find all of the information that you are looking for.
Spa
Flamingo spa last year was ok. Not the nicest of spas - but I like to spa in the hotel I stay in so I went there. They have a whirlpool, sauna, primp area with body product and razors, brushes, q-tips, blow driers, curling irons and more. In the waiting area there was a fridge with drinks and some apples, also many magazines. When I chacked in I got a locker, robe and slippers to use during my time in the spa.
Now to the services - ok massage, and very good facial. My bff%26#39;s daughter got a very bad massage (really she got a rub down). Prices seemed reasonable - pretty much what I might spend in the casino and a basic show.
I love to spa so I visit the spa everytime I%26#39;m in Vegas. It is a fabulous way to spend some time and well worth the $$$ for me.
As someone else said if you don%26#39;t want services just get a spa pass and use sauna and whirlpool - you will also get use of the gym there.
Have fun and go ahead and get a service - you deserve it!
Cheers,
CS
Websites of spas should contain a link to a menu of treatments with prices.
You should book any spa treatment in advance to avoid disappointment. Unless it%26#39;s an extremely busy time in Vegas you should be fine making a booking a few days in advance but if you must have a specific date and time then it makes sense to call a couple of weeks or so ahead of time. Make sure you%26#39;re aware of the cancellation policy. Some spas don%26#39;t allow same day cancellations, others allow you to cancel at a certain number of hours notice. If you%26#39;ll be a guest at the hotel in question your reservation will be secured against the credit card already on file, if not you%26#39;ll need to give credit card details when booking a treatment.
My own opinion is that you should pay the extra and go to Qua at Caesars for a better experience than you%26#39;ll get at either MGM or Flamingo.
You%26#39;re expected to tip your technician. Typically this will be 15-20% of the cost of the treatment. If paying by credit card simply add this to the slip as you would in a restaurant. Envelopes are usually available if you wish to leave a cash tip.
I am staying at the Four Seasons- which place has the best basic massage? the Four S, MB or The Hotel?
Thanks all
can anyone help answer my spa question above? thanks
TIALAURA, I%26#39;ve used the spas at all three properties but haven%26#39;t had a treatment at Four Seasons. I love the Bathhouse at THEhotel in terms of atmosphere, amenities and relaxation but actually enjoyed my massage at Spa Mandalay more. I hope that makes sense!
The Four Seasons spa is a small set-up. My wife had a massage there, loved it but didn%26#39;t think it was worth the higher cost when compared to the majority of Strip spas. She felt that you were paying slightly more simply because it was the Four Seasons, not because the massage was noticably better than elsewhere.
Hope that helps..... :-)
hey Blagger thanks, will look into the Spa MB then.
TIALAURA I disagree with blagg, I have been to the Four Seasons spa many times and find it to be top notch and worth the money. It is small with personal service, which is part of the charm.
TIALAURA: Just to make it a little more difficult for you, my wife%26#39;s favorite LV spa is THEbathouse. Although Wynn is a close 2nd, and has her favorite massuer. Even though she does not take advantage of the baths at THEbathouse, she thinks it has the best atmosphere and staff. As mentioned it is not as big as the spa at MB, but suits her.
Keep in mind she is 50-something and not looking for exciting, busy, or innovative but prefers quiet and relaxing. She did not like Canyon Ranch and probably won%26#39;t ever try Qua (we don%26#39;t stay at Caesars). And it would never occur to her to to visit a spa at a hotel where we were not guests, it wouldn%26#39;t be worth the hassle, So the spa is sometimes a factor in our choice of hotel.
Ruthpoofy: I%26#39;m sorry we can%26#39;t be of help, but my wife didn%26#39;t like the MGM spa and has never stayed at Flamingo.
When I was staying at Flamingo, I went across the street to QUA Baths at Caesars %26amp; totally enjoyed it. It was the best SPA ever, if you are looking for a one of a kind experience %26amp; a relaxed %26amp; tranquil environment %26amp; has a luxurious retreat this is the place. Here is the website, if you would like to check it out to see if it meets your criteria for a fantastic Spa, It very easy to get to from the Flamingo.
