Who Drinks The Water ?

Whilst in Las Vegas recently on my first trip, I couldn%26#39;t help but notice all the guys on street corners flogging bottles of water for $1. Are these folk ok to buy from ? Is the water what is says it is on the label, and not tap water ? Or am i guilty of unwittingly funding some ';underground organisation'; ?...lol....just a thought !

Who Drinks The Water ?

I buy that water quite often. The seals are always intact when I%26#39;ve purchased. It%26#39;s not like they%26#39;ve refilled water bottles with tap water.

Who Drinks The Water ?

It%26#39;s fine. No different than the guys selling water and burritos in front of the stadiums before baseball games. It%26#39;s probably not legal, but hey- it%26#39;s Vegas ;)

I would caution you to be sure that the seals ARE intact. On our last visit, I purchased a bottle with a broken seal . . . and, of course, didn%26#39;t notice it until I was too far away to care to go back to gripe :)

You can buy bottles of water in bulk for 10 or 15 cents per bottle. So, the little entrepreneurs are making a tidy little profit at $1.00 per bottle.

It would probably be easier and cheaper to buy a case of water than to scrounge around for empty bottles to fill with tap water.

Mske sure the seal is intact. That water is usually ice cold and very good.

If you can, catch Lewis Black on water routine - it cracks me up ... A little crude but funny. On Youtube.

I drink the tap water there , bottled , whatever....

I%26#39;ve bought from those guys, and as other posters have said, the water was cold and very refreshing. Yes, it%26#39;s probably illegal, and yes, they%26#39;re probably making a big profit, but it%26#39;s still cheaper than what you%26#39;d pay for the same bottle of water inside a Strip hotel. Of course, you could get the water free if you%26#39;re gambling, but heaven knows how long it might be before a CW actually shows up.

I try to carry my own supply but if I am on the street, if I am thirsty, it is very hot and I don%26#39;t have my own supply- sure, I buy it and drink it. If it is sealed then I feel I am o.k. with it. I haven%26#39;t gotten sick yet.

Many of the most popular bottled waters are nothing but tap water anyway. Like Dasani, or Aquafina. Theres nothing wrong with what these folks are doing. They buy the bottles in bulk for maybe 15-25 cents a bottle and sell them for a dollar. Good for them. At least they aren%26#39;t out there with their hands out saying ';buddy can you spare some change';?

One of the best values in Vegas in my opinion....especially on a 110 degree day. Like others said, they are making 80-90 cents, it would be a challenge to find 200 empty bottles in good enough shape to pass as new, then spend all day filling them when you can buy em for 10 cents each at bulk. Drink up!
