We%26#39;re staying at NYNY next week and we%26#39;re comped 3 nights. Although both my husband and I play cards, I play more slots than he does and I%26#39;m pretty sure our comp is based on my slot play. I%26#39;m wondering if anyone knows if there are casinos who comp based on table play too.
Comps for table playYeah they all do.
You just give your card to the pit boss when you sit down. They swipe your card, and then crack your table play. As far as getting comps, typically as a mid-range hotel like NYNY you probably have to play at least 25$ a hand to even get noticed for a comp. If you play at least 25$ a hand, for good amount of time, they may offer you something. But often you have to ask for it.
Vegas Comps are really not easy at most strip hotels. I stayed at Texas Station once, and was given a suite upgrade just for making ONE 100$ bet. Most strip hotels would never do anything like that.
Comps for table playAll casinos will comp table players should their play warrant it. As you suspect though it%26#39;s easier to get comps by playing slots these days.
A lot of Strip properties won%26#39;t rate blackjack players unless they%26#39;re playing $25 per hand. Comps are calculated from average bet and time spent playing and vary from casino to casino. You should ask at any players club desk for guidelines for that particular location.
I%26#39;ve received comps at $5 tables at the 4 Queens. It seems I get better mail offers for table play there than the slots. I%26#39;ve even had a couple meals comped.
A host at Luxor told me that a dollar slots player is worth more to the casino than a $75 a hand blackjack bettor (based on four hours of play) because the house advantage is so much greater in slots. NYNY is actually fairly generous to table players betting $25+ a hand IMHO.
Vegasvarment: Congrats on getting Four Queens to notice you. My experience with them is that they can be very tight. I%26#39;ve actually had better luck getting comps at Mandalay Bay than Four Queens.
I agree that NYNY is pretty generous to table players. Also I might mention that playing $25+ a hand seems to get you the games with better rules at NYNY.
There are certain casinos - NYNY being one of them that will rate your table play regardless of the amount you play per hand. I got this information first hand from one of the NYNY Casino Marketing Reps. I play more cards than slots, too, and I did receive some comps, not much, but any return is nice, when I was there in April. I typically play BJ at $10-$15 per hand and Three Card Poker at $5-$10 per hand.
