Lounges vs Clubs

Is there an easy way, or characteristic to look for, when you%26#39;re trying to distinguish between a club and a lounge at the Vegas casino resorts? I%26#39;m thinking the clubs are the long lines, bottle service or no seating, where lounges are more open, maybe no cover, easy listening music, and seats. The ';entertainment'; tabs on the casino%26#39;s web sites don%26#39;t list them by ';lounge'; or ';club';, so aside from reading though each one and see if the description makes the distinction, I%26#39;m wondering if anyone has an example listing of clubs vs lounges. Thanks

yep, you%26#39;ve got it

many of the websites will distinguish - or the wording is a clue.

some, like fontana lounge, are self descriptive.

Good question. I pretty much thought it had to do with whether or not there is dancing. A club always has dancing, whereas a lounge is more of a fancy bar. Although, Voodoo Lounge does have dancing, and I would consider it more of a club... I guess just read reviews about places you are interested in going. One (of many) websites is www.vegas.com/nightclubs

This is a list of the hottest clubs, where the biggest crowds will be. There are a couple lounges (like Ghost Bar) listed, but in general, this is where the lines will be. If you are interested in a more laid-back atmosphere, just take note of these as places NOT to go :)

Click on Shows %26amp; Nightlife. There will be separate listing for Clubs/Ultralounges and Lounges.

I learned the hard way about long lines, or if you are a guy w/out girls in your party, the non moving line. Thankfully I will talk to almost anyone and chatted w/ some girls to get them to go along with us getting in w/ them. Its insane..
