Is the helicopter tour to Grand Canyon suitable for a 3yr old child? or is it better to drive? We thought of goin to the skywalk since it is nearer to Las Vegas, even knowing that it wont be as nice as the GCNP! We only have 1 free day.
helicopter tour to Grand Canyon
My opinion is that I would not take a 3 year old on a helicopter trip. It is loud and scary and it would not be enjoyable for anyone aboard. One free day is really not a lot to try to visit Grand Canyon. Have you checked the driving time to skywalk? I think it%26#39;s like 3 or 4 hours? You might reconsider the trip to GC and visit Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire instead. Much easier and closer and could actually be enjoyable for the 3 year old.
helicopter tour to Grand Canyon
Hi. How far is the Red Rock Canyon? Around how many hours? How%26#39;s the road condition? Any part of Grand Canyon will do. All we wanted is to take some photos to remember our trip to GC. :)
Red Rock Canyon is not a part of Grand Canyon. It is an area of rock formations and beautiful scenery right on the edge of Las Vegas.
Valley of Fire is a larger area (I think it%26#39;s a state park), right near Hoover Dam. Less than an hour outside of Vegas.
I did the helicopter ride down to the bottom of the canyon and then a boat ride down the river last year when in Vegas. Now that you mention kids I didn%26#39;t see any around the helicopters - have you checked there are no age restrictions? If not, and you feel your child would enjoy it I don%26#39;t see it as unsafe to have kid in the helicopter.
