my girlfriend and i are meeting up in vegas next weekend while i am there for a conference. I am having to stay at marriot by convention center that week and would rather stay on strip for a few nights during weekend.
Ive done a bit of price checking and its looking like these are the best/reasonable options (total price including tax etc for weekend)....where should we stay?
btw-- we are married 30 year olds trying to catch up, sit by pool (and do alittle gambling/shopping) while we are there. thanks in advance!!
Imperial -- $230 (understanding this is the super 8 of the choices)
Monte Carlo - $314
Luxor - $323
Or should we just stay at the hotel (marriott suites) that i already have a good rate at (but still have to pay out of pocket since its outside my TDY) of $220.
thanks everyone!!
hotel advice please :-)
First, I have to laugh - I read to post to mean that you were married but meeting your girlfriend in Vegas. Then I read it again and realized that you are both female.
I would change hotels as I would want to be on the strip. I would choose Monte Carlo but I%26#39;m unsure of the pool situation with the construction going on. Next I would choose Luxor and IP would come in 3rd.
Have fun!
hotel advice please :-)
Hi there -- Have you tried looking at the Mirage? They currently have a promo going, and I think you can get a standard room for $200 or a Tower Deluxe room for about $245 for that weekend. I%26#39;m not sure of your exact dates (Fri-Sun?) but the promo starts this month. I love the location of the Mirage and their rooms have just been upgraded. Great pool area and restaurants too!

thanks for the advice! (and yes i meant to say we were two girls :-)
Monte Carlo is right next to the biggest construction project in the history of las vegas, not sure I would want to stay there, right now.
If the rate MChiddy quotes is accurate, then I agree Mirage is an improvement over the other choices. Otherwise, I%26#39;d pick Monte Carlo.
Have you tried flamingo? It a great location with fabulous pool!Go to vegas .com and look at map.
Give promo code # lvx782scy. It is for September and I%26#39;m not going to use it. You might get 77.00 rate.
because of the contruction I%26#39;d choose Luxor over Monte Carlo and IP comes in dead last - I cna%26#39;t even stand walking in to that place. You might also check out this offer that was just released for MGM:

You don%26#39;t say which dates you%26#39;re staying next weekend but for Fri/Sat with tax this promo would run you $335 with tax and you get a $20 slot credit.
Good rates and a much better hotel than Luxor, IMO. Great pool too.
Grr, that link didn%26#39;t work. Do to the MGM%26#39;s site and enter the promo code MKT169.
MonteCarlo. The braying construction paranoiacs have not even stayed there during construction. It is no problem, nice clean place. MGM is better is you can get a good rate. Luxor is a fun, nice, and spectacular place, and would do fine also.
IP is creepy, worn, drab, smelly.
Actually, the construction is really annoying to me, so I would avoid Monte Carlo this trip. Although I didn%26#39;t mind staying at Planet Hollywood, when the contstruction is your mian view when you walk outside. I agree with your checking out Flamingo. It is fun and the pool is great. Go for it.
