Hotel Hop during Christmas?

I have booked 8 nights at the Mandalay Bay, but I am considering splitting our trip into two hotels - Luxor for 5 nights (first) and Manadalay Bay for 3 nights (second). This will be about $300 in savings, per room, over the course of the trip. Would saving $300 be worth it to do this? Or should I keep my reservation the way it is? Thanks!

The savings would be worth it, but not changing to Luxor due to location.

These hotels are right next to each other. I would try for something at mid strip or away from Mandalay Bay just so you can have a different expereince.

How about Paris, Bally%26#39;s (North Tower) Mirage? Don%26#39;t know your price range, but just somewhere maybe mid-strip. I split hotels each trip and love trying out different hotels but always pick hotels at different locations along the strip.
