Ideas for motorcycle enthusiast

Going to Vegas Oct. 11-18, staying at The Mirage. Renting a harley for one day and also planning on visiting the Harley Davidson Cafe. That being said, are there any other must sees in Vegas that we can do or see. My husband is a harley davidson fanatic. Thanks.

Good luck driving a bike in LV.

the guys at the shop will know - they do this daily. I would get ideas from them, particularly if a group ride is happening or you want to go to a biker friendly restaurant/bar while out. I%26#39;m willing to bet they get asked this Q daily and will have a map. I would value those opinions on this more than anyone here. if you want to plan ahead of time call them.

grand canyon, VOF, Red Rock, Lake Mead - lots of options and well-known. The bike shop will know the ';off the beaten path'; rides or the less traveled, less vehicular traffic, etc

Just some info for you...Does your husband have a Harley? If so, is he a HOG member? HOG has a fly and ride program where you can fly to different locations and pick up a harley. If he has a Harley and is not a HOG member, they were running membership special for $25.00 as opposed the usual $40.00. We are going to Vegas in October and renting a Harley also. We got a better deal through HOG than the Harley dealership. Rental through the dealership was 155 for 24 hours plus insurance, taxes, etc. which was going to total about 180. Through HOG it was a flat 100 per day with a 2 day minimum which meant we would pay 200 through HOG. We pick the bike up on Monday morning and return the bike Wednesday before closing. Basically we have the bike for 3 days for the same price as the 24 hour period through the dealership. It also gives us transportation for 3 of our 4 day trip! Just thought you might be interested in this info! Have fun on your trip and enjoy your ride! When you get back let me know where all you went on your ride!

Your hubby willl be delighted to hear that he will be able to buy loads of Harley Davidson clothes and collectibles all over Vegas. My hubby is a big motorbike fan and i searched Vegas for items for him but could only find Harley Davidson.I saw the Harley Davidson cafe and he will love it.Enjoy.

Its not Harley oriented, but the Saturday you get there is the night of a Supercross race at the MGM. Thats what I am going for. And its my wife 40th.

There is a Harley clothing shop under the escalator in NY NY, if its still there with the remodeling going on.

He might also like and ATV ride in the desert.

Pennstate,

I agree with both Bridgefan and Biker. The employees and even some of the customers at the dealership will be able to give you great information about destinations in the area that aren%26#39;t commercial, touristy places that are plugged up with people. Since most H-D owners are well above the poverty line and aren%26#39;t afraid of spending, I doubt you%26#39;ll find anyone bike unfriendly.

Harley Owners Group (HOG) is also a great idea if you own a HD and don%26#39;t belong. Most dealerships sponser a local chapter that you can join for a small fee and they are usually very active in the community.

You should try to bump up your trip as Las Vegas Bikefest08 is Thurs.Oct 2-sun.Oct 5. We will be staying Downtown during this time although we are not riders. It should be pretty interesting though.
