Harrahs Hotels

I have the choice of 4 free nights at either Harrahs, IP, Bally%26#39;s, Paris, Rio or Flamingo...

Please rank and comment on them...

Making the change from MGM hotels

Harrahs Hotels

I think Paris would be the nicest of all.

I think Rio, Flamingo and Bally%26#39;s are ';equal';

IP is kind of dumpy. Don%26#39;t stay there.

Of these hotels I%26#39;ve only stayed at Flamingo and it was fine.

My last stay was at MGM and it blew all these away.

Oh and stay away from the Flamingo buffet. It was bad. I had breakfast and dinner. Not good in my opinion.

Harrahs Hotels

Of the choices, I have stayed at Ballys, Flamingo, Harrahs and IP. I suppose we prefer Ballys because of our ages etc. Flamingo is ok and Harrahs is good with clean rooms, good service etc but the casino seems to attract a younger crowd which is fine. IP rooms were clean but the casino is not up to par in comparison to the others. We have played at Paris as it is connected to ballys and also at Rio. All together, with the exception of the IP, you probably won%26#39;t go wrong with the others.

I like them in this order:

1. Paris I think is the nicest

2. Bally%26#39;s North Tower Room

3. Flamingo - Great pool complex

4. Rio - OK

5. Harrah%26#39;s - OK

6. IP - I like to gamble here, but I dont think you would want to stay. VERY dated.

I would rate them in this order

1. Paris - Newest, most up to date.

2. Ballys - Older crowd

3. Harrahs - Lively

4. Flamingo - Younger crowd. (loud)

5. Rio - Younger crowd. Off the strip

6. IP - Dingy

Have stayed at Harrah%26#39;s, Flamingo and Bally%26#39;s.

Paris - Good looking casino and food, but have heard from others that rooms are nice but smallre

Ballys - Like the rooms, and the casino is fun but smallish by strip standards. No more buffet but connected to Paris so no problem there

Flamingo - Go Rooms are wacky and fun, like the fountain view rooms on the south side facing Bally%26#39;s, casino is decent, great pool area, buffet not so good, but there is Margaritaville.

Harrah%26#39;s - decent rooms with not much view, great casino vibe, like Penazzi%26#39;s restaurant

Rio - never been - off-strip

Imperial Palace - not in the same class, but the casino is fun

4 nights free...Of your choices, I have stayed at Bally%26#39;s and Flamingo. Based on what I have found in my own research, and by visiting the place in general, but not the rooms, I have put this list together:

Flamingo GO tied with Paris.

Ballys standard North Tower

Flamingo standard room Tied with Bally%26#39;s South Tower

Harrah%26#39;s

Rio

Imperial Palace

When I was booking through the reservation website one time, I was going to book Paris. But the lady there said that if I have an offer of Flamingo GO room vs. basic room at Paris, the GO rooms are nicer, or neater. (This was her opinion, of course) Anyway, I am sure you move around from place to place gambling and dining, so you might consider which location is best for that.

If they would give you a GO room I would go for Flamingo, if not I would choose Paris.

Finally, I agree 100% on not recommending the buffet at Flamingo. Not good at all.

Thanks...Thanks a big help..

I agree MGM Hotels are nicer but Harrahs has been nicer with comps

I stayed at Bally%26#39;s a year ago and Paris in March. Both are actually very nice. Bally%26#39;s rooms are bigger tho. I was comped at Paris and got a newly renovated room. Stayed at Flamingo years ago so can%26#39;t comment on that one. So my suggestion is either paris or Bally%26#39;s in that order. Good luck and have a blast. I am staying t Caesars next month and hope it is nice too. Comped again. I usually give my money to HET properties and they keep giving me free rooms so try and stick to Harrah%26#39;s and they will reward you in the future.

#1 Paris - Nice overall hotel with good dining and nice looking casino.

#2 Rio - It would be #1 in my book if it were onstrip but the shuttling back and forth isn%26#39;t all that bad. The rooms are huge and comfy, good restaurants and the casino is lively.

#3 Bally%26#39;s

#4 Harrah%26#39;s - Really underrated. The rooms are small but the casino is always jumping and from rooms to food to shows the place is affordable.

#5 Flamingo - I know people like it because of the pool but its rundown and you need to upgrade to a GO room to make sure you get a nice one.

#6 IP - Its decent but a clear step below the rest. Food is awful. If Harrah%26#39;s isn%26#39;t going to shut it soon, I hope they put some money into it and work on the service there.

I%26#39;ve stayed several times at all except IP.

Paris is probably the nicest, over all considering the casino and Eiffel Tower and everything. The rooms are not too big, but the removated rooms are nice. Restaurants always seem real crowded.

Rio is nice, but off strip. Rooms are great, but can be run down. Depends which room they give you.

Some good restaurants. Nice pools. Men usually really like Rio. They have a shuttle to the strip.

Bally%26#39;s rooms in the north tower are lovely and big with good housekeeping. It%26#39;s connected to Paris so you can walk between the two. Casino is small.

Harrah%26#39;s is great. Rooms are small, but the renovated ones are really nice. Pool is small, not exciting. Casino is FUN. Rooms can be loud. I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s insulated too well. I like Harrah%26#39;s a lot.

Flamingo pools are lovely. Grounds are lovely. Some rooms are dumpy, some are nice. Casino seems pretty smallish. The steakhouse there is good, and Margaritaville is fun.

IP--Never stayed there. Doesn%26#39;t look quite as nice as the rest.
