maggionos

Hi all,

me again with some routine silly questions!

thinking of booking the place for a meal after my wedding seems reasonable $79 per person, there is ten of us and a four hour bar, any adivce will be great.

Also it says something about $250.00 service charge or tip?

Been to america before though not as part of a big group eating out is this a good deal?

also if anyone has any other suggestions for a cheap ish place to go for 10 after my meal. I was all for Hugos but the menu seems a bit limited in choice.

maggionos

that sounds like a pretty good deal to me, food is excellent, it is italian food, one of my wifes favorites! I take clients here all the time in Chicago and it is slightly upscale. i think it would be perfect for your purposes.

maggionos

thanks its just really difficult as I have never been t ovegas so arranging it all from this end is pretty scarey though this is why this site is so great!

If you can book it, do so. Maggiano%26#39;s is very popular especially for their reasonably priced wedding packages.

thanks I am just having to double check with everyone as I have fussy eaters!

i can%26#39;t speak to if it%26#39;s a good deal question, you do know it%26#39;s a chain, right? it%26#39;s fine, nothing special, in a mall. so not exactly what i%26#39;d want for a wedding meal - it%26#39;s casual and many diners will be in shorts, jeans, flip flops, baseball hats, etc. which is fine for a chain restaurant in a mall - just know this.

the food is mall chain italian - not great, not horrible

congratulations

I think Maggiano%26#39;s would be a very nice choice - it%26#39;s got GREAT ambiance, white linen table cloth and all of that, BUT it%26#39;s not stuffy.

The menu selection is varied (you can go to their website to see it) and no one will leave hungry.

Even though it is a ';chain'; restaurant, the feel is definitely of a good, solid family type Italian restaurant, with lots of old family pictures on the walls and Sinatra playing in the background. Love it!

I actually looked into having a wedding reception at Maggianos because I love their food. It is a chain, yes, but they are known for their consistency, large portion size and flavor. In my opinion, they will provide you with just as good of food as a local catering company would, if not better because it is made fresh on site.

What you will get is a private room with seating for the amount of people you reserve it for. They will dress up the tables, but not much more than the main restaurant dining room. Place cards or flowers and such cost extra. When I spoke with them, they seemed to be willing to get as fancy or as simple as you want, but the price of course goes higher...

The $250 service charge sounds like a lot for only ten people. I don%26#39;t remember that being mentioned when I spoke to them, so you may want to ask what exactly that is for. If it is just for a tip, it is way too much.

Also keep in mind that a wedding cake will cost you extra, and Maggianos charges a cutting fee regardless if you buy the cake from them. The cutting fee, as I recall, is not optional. The banquet manager%26#39;s phone number for the Maggianos in Las Vegas is: 702.732.4340. If you need me to, I can call them for you during business hours.

My friend had her wedding reception at Zefferino in the Grand Canal Shops at the Venetian Hotel - it was a larger party than yours, but very elegant, food was great (I think better than Maggiano%26#39;s). They have a link for catering on their website (your event) but you might have to call.
