I was just wondering if anyone has made a trip out to the winery. It looks very nice on their website and I was thinking of taking a ride out to see it. Worth the trip??

Nothing of use to add I%26#39;m afraid, other than it does look nice and I would be interested to hear thoughts on this too as we are planning to make a stop in there on our trip from Red Rock Canyon to Death Valley.

Send a PM to Perfect Plants. I think of him as the forum expert on this subject. He can supply all the information you need.
Thanks vp- I%26#39;ll do that. We have some beautiful wineries here on Long Island and we have visited the Renault winery in NJ when we go to the Jersey shore where our friends live. The idea of a good winery in Nevada is interesting to me. I thought it might be a nice way to spend a few hours off the strip.
Please buy 2 bottles, minimum.
lovinvegas, if you are into wine, you might be interested in the wine cellar ar the Rio..

I don%26#39;t know where you are staying, but there is a shuttle from HET properties to Rio.
Good Luck!

I apologize, I just checked, and that link will not work. I checked this one, and it works:
https:/…index.html
Right hand side bottom, is Wine Cellar %26amp; Tasting Room. Click on that.
Good Luck!

My computer keeps crashing. I apologize. One minute that link works, next it crashes. Go to Harrahs.com then click on Rio, then dining, then on bottom right is wine cellar. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the link, VegasSue but I couldn%26#39;t get it to work so I googled the wine cellar at the Rio and got the info. Perhaps if we take a ride out to the Rio this trip(haven%26#39;t been there the last few trips) we%26#39;ll check it out. There are always things I plan on doing and never get around to- we always have a rental car so getting there or anywhere is not the issue- getting me out of the casino is usually the issue!

We were there 3 years ago during our Vegas vacation.
Yes it is a beautiful winery with lots of grape vines around the buildings. Inside is a small gift shop and wine tasting area. We did do the wine tasting which was fine. We did buy some wine to take home with us. They even put a individualized label on the bottles which was nice.
Interesting fact that I found out afer we returned. The winery gets their grapes from California. None of the grapes that you see driving in are used to make the wine. The juice is all trucked in from California in refrigerated trucks.
That was a bit of a downer, and I actually sent e-mail to the winery and they confirmed that my information was correct.
There is not a lot in Pahrump, we did stop at the Terrible%26#39;s casino for their noon buffet. Got it free just for signing up for their players card. It was nothing like a Vegas buffet but for lunch it was fine.
We laugh now because we should have just skipped the winery and drove out to the Chicken Ranch to only look-see!
There is also a nice restaurant at the winery. Big room with lots of windows overlooking the grapevines. There wines are pretty decent regardless of where the grapes come from. It%26#39;s probably not worth a trip from LV just for the winery, but if you%26#39;re going to Death Valley (or the Chicken Ranch lol!) it%26#39;s certainly worth going to.
