I have found out that we will be in Vegas for Thanksgiving along with my sons football team for the Pig Skin Bowl. Doe anyone have any suggestions on a hotel to stay at with kids. My husband and I were just in Vegas in July and stayed at the Flamingo we liked it, all but for not a lot of choices for eating. I am not afraid of my kids seeing anything they should not we are pretty opened with them and we just took them to Vegas for the day in April. My son loved walking by the Pussy Cat lounge at Caesars.
So, any help with a hotel that might be a little more kid friendly and also if anyone had any ideas for places to eat on Thanksgiving or even a caterer. I think we might do a team meal witch would be about 100 people.
Thanks for any help you can give me!!!
Thanksgiving With Kids
The only hotel on the strip trying to be kid friendly is Circus Circus. Excalibur was another but they are trying to age up their demographic. Orleans and Gold Coast may be good fits, too.
As far as Thanksgiving dinner, you should contact the hotels you are looking at directly and see what arrangements could be made. The buffets will all be open and some of the restaurants but they will already be crowded and may not be able to accomodate that size party without alot of advance notice.
Thanksgiving With Kids
Mandalay Bay or MGM on the strip. Both have many dining options. MB has Shark Reef. MGM has lions and The Rainforest Cafe.
Green Valley Ranch for an off the strip choice. Many dining options, movie theaters, next to the District for shopping and more dining. Don%26#39;t know the ages of the kids but GVR is across from some nice parks and The District has a merry go round.
For a meal of 100 people you need to contact the hotel and talk to catering.
The Orleans would be a good option. There are many dining choices from fast food to fine dining and they have an arcade, movie theatre and bowling alley.
Beware, that just about every buffet will be swamped with people because a lot of locals take their families to the buffets for Thanksgiving dinner. I was there Thanksgiving 3 years ago and ended up eating hamburgers at a snack bar because the lines were huge. I think you%26#39;re better off spliting up in groups and if you want a sit down dinner, you will need to make reservations way in advance.
I would try and pick a restaurant and make reservations now. We waited an hour and a half at the Golden Nugget buffet last year and it wasn%26#39;t all that good.
Thanks everyone for your help. It sounds like I need to make a decision and stay with it.
Thanks!!!
where are the games being played?
Sorry it has taken me so long to check back in. Thanks for all the information. The location of the fields looks like they are off of Buffalo Drive. I am attaching the website that shows the fields I might be wrong.
