Smoking

I am a nonsmoker and want to know: in Laughlin, do the casinos have non-smoking sections/nonsmoking tables like Vegas?

I will be in Laughlin next month and would like to know how much second-hand smoke to expect? Is there one casino that%26#39;s not as smokey as others?

I really don%26#39;t think you can escape the smoke in any casino. Some are better ventilated than others. In Laughlin, the Golden Nugget seems to be pretty well ventalated and River Palms is not to bad either. But, really, if you go to a casino, just expect it to be smokey. Oh, and unless you are sitting next a smoker continuously for years upon years, %26#39;second hand smoke%26#39; is a fabrication made up by politicians and pharmaceutical companies. And if you%26#39;re allergic - good luck.

That is not true, there is such a thing as second hand smoke. It killed my Mother who never smoked a cigarette in her life.

Scott when will you be there, we will be there from the 11 to the 14 and I will be checking on the smoking and giving a report as soon as I get back.

I am gonna be there Oct 27th to Oct 29th. Any info/feedback would be great. If I know that one particular casino is VERY smokey, I will avoid it.

Harrah%26#39;s in Laughlin is the only one I know of that has a non-smoking section for slots. I have asthma so tend to move when it becomes too bad in the main part of the casino. It also struck me as odd (being from a province where you cannot smoke anything in a public building) that they allow cigars in the casino. And no, it was not a cigarillo type it was one of those huge ones, I lasted about 5 minutes then had to flee.

Riverside also has a non-smoking area with slots, VP, Keno and a few Blackjack tables. It is the south tower.

the trop and aquarius also has a non smoking section.

However they are all abused by smokers who either don%26#39;t see the signs or could,nt care less

just hit that albuterol for 2 puffs before you go down to the casinos and you should be fine.Thats what i do.The only place that really bothers my breathing is the Pioneer(the restaurants are not too bad) and the Riverside(even in the non smoke area you can smell smoke). All these places depend on how crowded it is.....if they arn%26#39;t full, not so smokey.
