Advice Please-Donnie & Marie OR Elton John + A Cirque Show

Advice needed please.

Hubby and I want to see atleast a couple of shows this trip. We are looking at a Cirque Show plus either Elton John or Donnie %26amp; Marie.

We have seen Elton before but would love to see again (he puts on an awsome concert), but on the other hand I would like to see Donnie %26amp; Marie depending on what their show is like.

Any input???????

Thanks. :)

Advice Please-Donnie %26amp; Marie OR Elton John + A Cirque Show

It%26#39;s difficult to answer this as Donny %26amp; Marie vs Elton really comes down to your own personal taste in music and entertainment.

I%26#39;d personally rather have needles pushed under my fingernails than sit through ninety minutes of Donny %26amp; Marie but that doesn%26#39;t mean the same should apply to you.

Also, as the D%26amp;M show has only been playing for a week you may not find many posters on here who%26#39;ve actually seen it yet.

Advice Please-Donnie %26amp; Marie OR Elton John + A Cirque Show

Hey.... I think I want to see Donnie and Marie too!

If you have seen Elton John, but not in his Vegas show, I do recommend that. His Red Piano show is really interesting and we liked it very much.

But, if you saw that very show in Vegas, I would go for the new show.

Thanks blagger,

I grew up listening to both, so I would like both.

But, Elton will probably be better, I wasn%26#39;t really thinking of the show being an hour and a half. I doubt my hubby (as wonderful as he is) would, he%26#39;d get a little bored... Thanks again. Wanted to see Cher but she won%26#39;t be there the time we are.

Rocket Man here we come..................... :)

Well I%26#39;m a big Donny fan and have seen him in Vegas before but not with Marie. Reviews from fans so far are that the show is great fun and very professional. There are many reviews on their websites. Seems many non fans attending who have been very pleased and also some private shows for staff of the Flamingo. They have already been extended from 6 months to a year and apparently are in talks for a 2nd year.

I can%26#39;t comment on D%26amp;M or Elton John since I have not seen either one in Vegas (although I have seen Elton John elsewhere).

Cirque shows- I have seen Mystere(twice), O, Ka and Love. Mystere remains my favorite because I feel it has the most WOW moments and it is the one I always recommend to someone who has not seen a CDS show before. Love is fantastic in every way- costumes, sets, music, choreography- but it isn%26#39;t really a typical Cirque show since the emphasis is on the music and not the acrobatic feats. O was good but I didn%26#39;t think it was as good as Mystere. I didn%26#39;t like Ka at all- the stage was nice but it didn%26#39;t hold my interest.

My vote- Mystere (for a typical CDS show) or Love (for a fantastic non- typical CDS show).

I saw Elton and sat 4 rows from the stage and the concert was fantastic... and then saw him at Madison Square Garden..... Not even close.... See Mystere, the very first Cirque show and buy the tixs before you go. Bet DM put on a great show and I will see it ALONE

it all comes down to personal choice, as always.

i can%26#39;t imagine anything worse than 5 minutes of Donny %26amp; Marie, even if free, and have seen EJ many times.

So for me, EJ. You obvioulsy like D%26amp;M, so go see them if you want.

No one here can teel you what to do - and you shouldn%26#39;t listen to me since I hate D%26amp;M!!

Thanks everyone.

We had to change our dates, so Elton is out. He won%26#39;t be there when we are. :( We are planning on seeing Mystere and I may drag my hubby to D%26amp;M just because I have to miss Elton, unless I find something else I like better. thanks again.
